Paver Patio Cleaning & Polymeric Sand

The first step in refreshing your paver patio surface is to deep clean the surface with a proper paver detergent  and/or efflorescence cleaner. Once the surface is properly cleaned and bone dry a fresh polymeric sand can we applied to the joints to bring it back to life. Polymeric sand is a material used to fill paver joints. It is sometimes called jointing sand, paver sand or hardscape sand. Jointing sand is made up of fine grains and additives that help the materials bind together.

Paver Patio & Stone Sealing

Applying a water or chemical based sealer can protect the colors and look of your paver or stone patio. If you are looking just for protecting without a gloss or color enhancement, a matte look is the best option. Color enhancement sealers, which are glossy, can also be added to bring out more of a "wet look" on your patio. Grip textures can also be added to sealers for more grip on a slippery paver or stone surface.

Stone Patio Cleaning

Stone patios are notorious for black mold and other organic dirt build up after aging. Cleaning the stone to remove and built up dirt and debris with a commercial pressure washer and chemical application can bring it back to life. Sealing your stone patio can bring out the rich colors of the natural stone while offer a layer of protection at the same time.

Stone Patio Re-Grouting

Stone patios with grout or mortar in the joints can become loose or cracked. Since grout is a Portland cement or mortar it can become stressed and crack during freeze thaw cycles of winter. This can be normal for mortar is nothing to be concerned with but age and wear can cause this mortar joint to be replaced.
