Is your bid an estimate or fixed price?
The majority of our bids are fixed price. If it is not a fixed price it will be stated in the estimate, and we will explain to you what an estimate entails.
How long have you been in business?
Avant Gardens and Hardscapes has been in business since 2016. Prior to 2016, our owners worked for the top landscape construction firms in East Tennessee.
What are your certifications?
We hold many different certifications. They include general contracting, retaining walls, pavers, lighting, concrete, carpentry, and even swimming pools.
What emphasis does your company place on safety?
Every new employees must go through 4-8 hours of safety training and pass a multitude of multiple choice tests before they are placed on a job site. We hold weekly company safety and training meetings.
Do you have industry certifications?
Do you carry workman’s comp, auto, and liability insurance?
Yes. We are happy to provide a COI to you. This will list all of that necessary information.
Is the payment schedule explained before the project starts?
Yes. We will explain the process thoroughly.
Will you be my lowest quote?
Due to the skill of our team members, emphasis we place on safety, and overall quality of services we provide our customers, our quote is usually not the least expensive. However, we offer a superior level of service and are highly reputable, so we feel we are the best value in East Tennessee. Buyer beware—you get what you pay for.

What type of crew can we expect at our property?
We typically have 3-4 crew members on site everyday once we start. Once we start a job we finish.
How long is your lead time for construction projects?
Usually at least 3-4 weeks. Most reputable landscaping contractors have a wait list for projects.
Are you a licensed general contractor?
Yes. We are a licensed contractor in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Do you have minimum charge?
We don’t have a minimum project cost and no project is too small. On average, our projects will start around $2,500 and go up from there. These days, it's not uncommon to see homeowners spending $250,000 or more on their landscaping project. The cost ultimately depends on the amount of work and type of work requested.
