Covered Porch Construction
One of our most popular requests is to design and construct a covered porch addition for homes in Knoxville and surrounding areas. This project is a perfect example of classic East Tennessee style, with the end result being a space that can be used year-round.
First on the list was the covered porch addition. We used a stone chimney to anchor the structure, followed by a high gabled roof to match the exterior slopes of the existing home. Natural wood construction with stone elements throughout provided a solid sense of place.
In addition to outdoor seating by the fireplace, a large outdoor kitchen was built that included a gas grill and smoker, outdoor refrigerator space, and a prep sink. But we didn’t stop there. Tucked behind the corner is a hot tub nestled in a manicured landscape. There is nothing better than hot tubs in the winter in East Tennessee!
